Once upon a time…

I find myself very nostalgic these days. Interesting feeling this one is. As I am spending my last days of holiday at The Black Sea, I get this familiar feeling of friendship mingled with love. The sea has always been my good friend, ever since I was little. It is its calling, its tranquility, its fury that is so charming and powerful upon me. Sea inspires me. It makes me be good and do good. The sea it’s madness. It’s heaven on earth. And it holds so many secrets, lost loves, beautiful stories. I love its greatness!

Probably, this is the reason why I always choose to visit it, to live with it, to have it close to my heart. The Hague it’s a city by the sea, and it is a city very dear to me, it’s the city where I live, holding many beautiful memories, my newest destination to reach, however, Athens it’s full of my cherished sea. And it intrigues me, I can’t wait for what is coming. But Greece it’s not unfamiliar to me…

Once upon a time…when I was a 17 year old girl, I traveled for the first time to Greece. I stayed close to Thessaloniki, in a small sea side resort, Paralia Katerini. I was very unsure about it in the begining, but as the days were going by I never wanted to leave from there. Those were the days when I discoverd true friendship, that kind of friendship that never dies. There I felt the first butterflies in my tummy, because of that charming guy and its captivating way of being. The days when I felt freedom in heart, endless moments of pure fun and happines, sleepless nights, that meant so much, neverending days spent under the Greek sun. And I keep those moments very close to my heart, there are part of me, of who I am now. These are moments, memories always treasured by me. The treasures of the soul.

“Every summer has a story”, and this is one of the my most wonderful stories  that I forever cherish.

So, when I think of Greece, I think of summer, of peace, of happines, of the old and new days and I can only be inspired and delighted about my next stay in Athens. Of the new crazy memories that are coming.

And the excitement and awaiting until my future Greek experience is growing and growing and growing….

New beginnings…

screen-capture-3

My name is Cassandra Maria and I’m an international student at The Hague University, I live in The Netherlands and I’m about to start my blog about my exchange period in Greece, Athens. Since I was a little girl one of my passions was travelling, so I fulfilled this passion as much as I could. However, nothing meant more to me than my choice to leave my home country, Romania and move to The Hague, when I turned 19 years old. Many would say I was too young, but my heart guided me to study far away from home and to learn and to grow in ways I never would expected. The journey wasn’t always easy, but if anyone asks me about it, I always reply that it’s damn worth it.

Right after turning 21 I’m about to embark in a new adventure, this time in the beautiful and sunny Greece. For the next few months I’ll be writing about my experiences in Athens and not only. I will be leaving in two weeks but I’ll keep you posted about everything.

But for now, I will just tell you to keep up with my travel experiences in a country I’ve never lived in, only visited it once( soon to write about that past experience too…).

Stay tuned to my Greek adventure
